New girl on the block

Phoebe, Image, Employee, Marketing, Agency, Starter, Design, Digital, Develop, Strategy

My name is Phoebe (named after Phoebe from Friends, but everyone calls me Phoebs) and I have just started working 2 days a week at Brave Little Tank as their Marketing Assistant.

I’m in my 4th year of university studying Business and Management and with a year already in industry, I couldn’t wait to get back into the environment. I spent my placement at Renault UK working as their Brand Communications Assistant, working on national campaigns across TV, Radio, Digital, Experiential, etc etc etc.

Why Brave Little Tank?

I loved office life and working on real-life marketing projects during my previous placement, so I knew returning to the university bubble wasn’t for me. I love BLT’s fresh vibe and company culture, and since digital is the way that this world is heading, I knew I could learn a lot from them and hopefully add some value myself. Having previously worked at a global company, I know that gaining experience with a start-up agency will give me a new perspective of the wider marketing industry.

But who ARE you?

Dog-lover by day, disco groover by night. I own 2 cockapoo’s that are my whole world, so you will always find me complimenting how beautiful they are in a squeaky high-pitched voice. I love my annual girl’s trip to Ibiza; Purple Disco Machine and Green Velvet are a couple of my favourite DJs.

Cheese and biscuits > Chocolate cake. Crime documentaries > Rom-Coms. Coffee > Everything.

I was born in Singapore (parents lived there for 5 years) so I was born with the travel bug. I have seen a lot of Asia but am now more interested in seeing European cities and their history, art galleries, and most importantly, food.

Future goals and dreams?

The ultimate dream is to work on the John Lewis Christmas TVC. I see myself staying on the creative/ strategy side of marketing, but who knows; I may surprise myself and learn to code. The land of Oz has been an interest of mine for a while, so after I have completed my degree, Australia could be my first place of work. Hitting the beach before or after work, not a bad life.
